Today, KM experts and practitioners are increasingly looking to the Web as a place to
share ideas and innovations--this is where the cutting-edge conversations are happening. However, with thousands of insights being posted on hundreds of blogs, discussion forums, and Web sites, keeping up with what's really important can feel overwhelming.
In light of this, APQC has created KM Edge as a space where we can all share gems and "juicy bits" in a free-form manner. Here, you can contribute to and find:
- During our KM Conference in Chicago you can comment on the presentations. Go here to see all the recent comments.
- fresh takes on best practices and lessons from APQC's 13 years of KM research;
- links to great KM blogs and breaking "knowledge news" from anywhere in the world;
- a blog with insights from our own KM experts as well as summaries and links to some of the best KM bloggers on the Web;
- community and comments features that will enable you to weigh in on all things KM;
- announcements of new KM research and publications; and
- anything else you or we find interesting, important, or just fun.
In creating KM Edge, our goal is to supplement our www.apqc.org site, which is designed as more of a knowledge repository than a forum for knowledge flow. When relevant, we'll point you to targeted KM content and cases on www.apqc.org as well as to the best content we've discovered on the Web. We hope you'll share your gems and direct us to others that we may not be aware of. The hope is that, by leveraging and adding to the site, we can all keep abreast of what's happening on the "edge" of KM.
Join in. Enjoy the contributors. Become one of them. Help us make KM Edge a special place for KM practitioners to find the best in KM. If you come across sites we should know about, or have a case study or story you want to share, let us know. Write us at: admin@kmedge.org Our goal is to pick the best of the best. (Of course, we will vet what gets posted to make sure it is legal, civil, and not crassly commercial. That's it. Any opinion you express is your own.)
Thanks to the many of you who contributed ideas for KM Edge, encouraged us by participating in a "trial blog" in conjunction with our last consortium study, or pointed us to some favorite KM resources we might have missed. Your generosity humbles us. We hope to emulate you.
I'm excited. Let's see what we can make happen together.
